Quick Write: My Special Belonging

If my family is leaving home because we're all in great danger, we must leave immediately and there's no chance of returning. However, I could take only one special belonging with me. The thing I would bring is the money, life can always start again with money. The memories may be gone, but if you like, it will still always have a place in your heart. However, if that is not the option, I would take my blanky or my USB of my life. I am not sure which one I should choose. The USB contains a lot of my important information, but the blanky was there for me my whole life. The blanky contains my saliva, mucus, and also tears. It contains all my emotions and I love it with all my heart, it's also heavenly comfortable. Secondly, my USB. My work, designs, entertainment, document, and important files are all in there. I can bring my computer, but if I were running away, I would think of brining something more portable. I can have a new computer anytime, but I can't save life taking a big piece of metal on my hand.
The things I would miss the most is probably my bed, it's a really nice bed. I always cry on the bed, I run into the room whenever I am sad. It also contains many of my secretes, because I talk to my friends on phone and with god there. My bed knows all about me, but yet I couldn't bring it on to my journey in the second half of my life. Too bad, I'd rather not run away if I have a chance living there, but of course that would just break the rule of this hypothetical question.

Quick Write: Theme to My Favorite Song

My favorite song now is Rosé by the Feeling. The subject of the song is rose wine. A man is saying how much he loves rose wine, but the actual meaning is how he has just realized his sexuality and is coming out of the closet. He is just excepting his sexuality, being homosexual. The theme of the song is excepting a person's own sexuality and the things they love. The lyrics are very figurative, they didn't say any words related to being homosexual, it only hinted some parts.
The white to your left
The red to your right
Are all that I'd seen
Til I realised the love that I seek
Lies right in-between
This part tells that the person was confused, he didn't know what his sexuality was, and then he realized. The colour in between red and white is pink, which is the colour of rose wine. That is why the many kept saying haw he loves rose wine.

Quick Write: Folk Songs about Revolution

The song I chose is Johnny Has Gone for a Soldier

This song is about how both men and women devoted into the war, it was made during the Revolutionary war. Johnny is just a general name for all the soldiers that have to go to war and left their family behind. The song has a folky and country feeling, but also a sense of grief mixed in it. The song tells how women sold their belongings to buy war equipment for the men. And all the leaving, death, and goodbyes, women also suffered a lot during the war.
I would really recommend this song, if your husband left you during a war, especially when his name was also Johnny. Sometimes song sings out your feelings, the feeling you don't know how to describe. These kind of songs help you get over things.

Quick Write: Duty or Friendship?

If I really have to choose between giving up on my duty or betraying my friend, I would say it depends. Under different circumstances, people will make different decisions. When that friendship is more important than a certain duty, then I will choose duty. If a duty is essential to me, and the friendship was not as important, I would choose completing my duty first. When the importance of the duty and friendship lies at the same level, I would go for duty. Duty has to be done first, you can save your friendship or other relationships later. Relationship can be gained again, but missing a duty might mean you missed a chance. If you have that chance and you make yourself better, your friends might come back to you, unless you betrayed them, though there is still a possibility. Never that emotions control your mind, you need to be great person to do what ever you want and get away with it. So before you become a great person by obeying all your duties, do not do whatever you want, because you won't get away with it.

Quick Write: Under Pressure

Somehow, stress and pressure come upon me every time I play badminton, but it's not that I don't like badminton. I am an amateur at badminton, and I've only played for a year, with no actual coach. Every time we play doubles, people tend to find someone very skilled to partner with me, so that's where the pressure comes from. I really hate to let my partner down, because I don't like people letting me down either. I don't want my skilled partner to loose because of me. During most of the previous competitions, I start crying in the middle of the game, and it always starts out with my hands trembling, and I can't hit the ball for a several times then it starts to kill me. I deal with this situation, not by running away. I take deep breath and I start all over again. This works really well. Just start all over. Most of the time I restart during a game, the first shot I hit earns a point on my team and usually just gets better and better. Never let pressure control you, you need to control it. If you could do that successfully, there's barely anything to be afraid of. Always try your best.

Quick Write: Vengeance

To have the urge to seek vengeance on someone or some people comes from hatred, of course. You want them to feel the pain and agony they caused you to go through. When you are experiencing pain physically or/and mentally, you'll think no one felt the same way as you do, and that you are going through a "living hell." Ohh please, you know nothing about living hell. It's just that the pain that caused you to hurt so much is incomparable to any other thing you've experienced. If you felt something as painful before, then you wouldn't consider the more recent one as painful as "living hell." Just like the song "the First Cut is the Deepest." Feeling that no one else has been as painful as you are, you started to want to share. Share with the one that caused you so much pain. In you imagination, the pain is ten times as much as it actually is. You successfully revenged with ten times the pain, and that may cause tragedy and maybe even death. In Spiderman, Peter wanted to seek vengeance on whoever killed his beloved uncle. He killed the man that shot him. Though the burglar killed his uncle, but it doesn't mean Peter has the right to take away his life. This indicates the inequality of vengeance and the original price.

The Grass is Always Greener On the Other Side

Though I complain a lot, but I know that I am living a pretty awesome life. I was taught to admire people, and less envy. They may be very a like, but admiration gives me a impulse, an urge that makes me want to work for what I want.
Firstly, envy can easily turn into jealousy and hatred. A year ago, I haven’t experience “jealousy” yet. Maybe I did, but it wasn’t obvious enough to let me acknowledge it is. This year, it appeared in my life, it revealed itself. When I feel the hot blood rushing into my head with the eyes about to have tears leak out, and felt like my heart was tangled together, I knew right then, that was jealousy. It wasn’t a pleasant feeling to have, it was painful. You feel like the whole world is burning into ashes as you soul roam with agony. Usually when you see people with pretty faces, As on report cards, and talented at various subjects, they are all just fine, nice people. But when being pretty or having a certain talent actually makes a difference, the sense of envy will burst out.
Secondly, when you have a certain talent, people admire you, and also envy you. You feel your heart aching when someone tells you “I wish I could be as talented as you,” or things like that. You might enjoy at first taking that as a compliment, but did they know how hard you worked for it? If they never set any effort on to this subject, why do they have the right to say that? Have you ever felt that way? The only time you can envy someone, is when you did as much or more effort into the subject as the others did. That way you are showing the person respect through the sense of envy.

Quick Write: Yes Ma'am

I had many dreams. The first one is that I want to be better looking, or as girls calls it, “prettier.” There are many ways I can improve my looking, I can put on make up and cover my dark purple-ish gray circle under my eye. I can get a nose job to make my nose looks nice and thin. I can wear colour contacts to make my eyes look bigger. Also, I would definitely do whatever Michael Jackson did to have that beautiful pal skin. I also hope my hands won’t look as big as I grow older. These are all dreams that haven’t been made, yet. I’m not at the age to do these changes. I had another dream. I wished that I could be a famous manga-ist when I was older. That was a truly stupid idea, I later realized. I broke my own dream, but led myself off to something greater; now I want to be an art manager.

Quick Write: Yes Ma'am

People get right and wrong all the time. A force that can drive people to do good is the fear of being wrong. Being wrong is not just simply getting a wrong answer or doing one bad thing. Being wrong is having a wrong idea and make wrong decisions that can lead to, basically, really wrong things. A wrong idea grew in ones mind. One can not determine if it is good or bad by himself. Sometime a group of people may have the same wrong idea. This kind of situation leads people to do wrong things. No one can decide whether an idea is right or wrong, all ideas are controversial. An idea that is considered right, is usually one that is justice, but justice can’t be determined when one is biased by opinions.

Quick Write: A Christmas Memory

The friendship that lasts super long, usually don’t have much fighting, which also means it’s not that strong. Friends fights with each other, because they actually care about what his or her friends do. There are friends forever, but that depends on how you state the word “friend.” If your definition for “friends” are the people on your Facebook or MySpace friend list, you kind of have a lot of friends for ever and ever. But is is true that you can have many friends forever. These friends may not be really close to you, but they are close enough to help you out when you need them. “Best friend forever,” aka BFF, is the hard question. No one can have a BFF, most of the time it’s the truth. BFF girls always get into fight. BFF boys are more likely to happen, but guys don’t tend to get really close to each other like girls do. And BFF with a mixture of girl and boy never works out, because later on the guys would realize girls are not worth you taking care of when you guys are not even dating. Girls are too complicated, and teenager boys are way too simple in all girls point of view. But the special combination of girls and boys, that also likes girls, works pretty well most of the time. The are very unique though. My oldest friend forever is Eddy. I’m pretty sure. We are not that close, the amount of chats we have is probably less than the amount I had with my ex-best friend, which I only knew for 5 months. And my ex-best friend is really, really, really close to me. So close he probably know more about me than I, myself, do. We get into fights a lot, but we get back the next day anyways. Haha. Well, these kind of friendship are probably just for fun. Think it this way, everyone have the same amount of “get to know each other” point in each friendship they have. If you use it up so quickly the friendship will end sooner, if you save it for later, then you can have a friend forever!! :D

Essay Question on Test 1: The Most Dangerous Game

Whitney and Rainsford argued that animals do or do not have feelings. Whitney said that games have fear, but Rainsford argued that he is the hunter not the game, and he doesn’t care if the games think or fear. The ship hit the bank of the ocean and was destroyed and sank into the ocean, Rainsford was the only survivor. He arrived to the Ship-trap island where he heard a gun shot. He knew that there were man on the island so he conclude that there will be food. He found General Zaroff’s castle, and went inside to meet him. General Zaroff is a hunter, too, but he hunts a new type of game, which is hunting human. When Rainsford realized that Zaroff was going to hunt him, he ran and hid in the island for he has no way to get out. The first day Zaroff came out to hunt Rainsford, he actually already spotted where Rainsford was, but decided to play with him a little longer and didn’t kill him then. Rainsford set a trap called Malayan mancatcher and wounded Zaroff, which resulted him to go home and take a rest. The second day of hunting, Rainsford set a trap on the quick sands and killed Zaroff’s hunting hounds, and he had to go back home again. On the third day, Rainsford’s trap killed Ivan. Rainsford jump down the cliff and into the ocean after he was encountered by the hounds. General Zaroff thought he killed Rainsford and went back home, while Rainsford stayed alive and swim all the way to Zaroff’s chateau. He hid in the general’s bedroom, and when Zaroff came in, he challenged him to a battle. He won and took over the general’s comfortable bed.
